Jim (USA)

Meet Jim

Jim grew up around Christianity but it seemed unimportant to him. He spent time in the army and has had a long career in the police force. Jim talks about his hard-heartedness and selfishness. He encountered Christian men but had misconceptions about them. Jim’s brother got seriously sick and became a Christian. At that point God turned Jim’s heart towards Him and Jim decided to become a Christian also. Jim talks about how straightforward it is to become a Christian, and if he had known the truth about Christianity, he would have become a Christian when he was much younger.

Jun and Bernie (Philippines)

Meet Jun and Bernie

Jun and Bernie are from the Philippines but went to Australia for employment. They believed they needed to do good things to be saved, and they prayed to Mary. Both Jun and Bernie started to feel restless – that they were not growing in their faith. They heard the gospel and Bernie trusted in Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior. She started reading the Bible and learning, but Jun made fun of her. Bernie prayed for her husband’s salvation. In time Jun did receive Christ also. Jun talks about the order that Jesus brings to his life, and how Christ has brought his family closer.

Mark (Australia)

Meet Mark

In Mark’s interview he talks about how he became a Christian and how his relationship with God has helped him in different areas of his life, including parenting and anxiety. Mark shares that he did not have a good relationship with his dad growing up. His dad suffered from bipolar disorder which made life very unstable for Mark. Mark didn’t learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus until he was an adult during a time when his stepson was gravely ill. He describes being with his stepson in hospital and praying to God with a Bible in his hand. A stranger walked past Mark and showed him the verses in his Bible he needed to know to receive Christ. Mark has embraced God’s fatherly love for Him, which has healed the void left by his relationship with his earthly father.

Dixie (USA)

Meet Dixie

Dixie shares how she always went to church but did not accept Jesus’ death on her behalf, until after she was married. Dixie’s husband and oldest son passed away in a short time period. This was very hard for Dixie, but she describes how God supported her and surrounded her with a church community to love on her.

Meet Donna

Donna describes her close relationship to God, right from a very young age. She believed the scriptures she had learned that she was a sinner in need of Jesus. Donna shares how God has helped her overcome fear which has played a significant part in her life. Donna describes her choices in her young adult life. She was happily married but discovered a secret sin in her husband’s life. Donna shares she reacted with anger and pride. God showed Donna her sinful reaction and His forgiveness of her sinful reaction. Receiving God’s mercy allowed Donna to forgive her husband.
