Craig (USA)

Meet Craig

Craig describes going through the motions of religion and not knowing what was in the Bible. He attended a new church where he began to study the Bible. He understood what Jesus did for Him and placed all his trust in Jesus for the removal of his sins. Craig talks about two tragedies that occurred for him and his wife – the death of their firstborn followed by a miscarriage. He shares what it’s like to go through those times knowing God’s in control and has a plan for his life.

Tony grew up in a Christian home. He thought accepting Jesus’ work on the cross was only about getting to heaven. Tony shares that he was prideful and self-righteous in the past in regards to his spirituality, and couldn’t see his own sin. Meet Scott

Scott describes how we grew up going to church and learning about all the stories in the Bible. He talks about how he lived a Christian life but he didn’t really understand it. As an adult, he stopped caring about church and wasn’t interested in Jesus. God worked through his dying grandma to make Scott think about eternity. Following attendance at a new church and study group, Scott finally understood the gospel and placed his faith in Jesus. He knows that one day he will be reunited with his grandma in heaven.

Marilyn (South Africa)

Meet Marilyn

Marilyn says she lived an unhappy life and was thirsty for spiritual truth. She tried all sorts of religions and couldn’t find peace. One day, an ad for a forthcoming sermon at a Bible preaching church irritated her, yet she found herself drawn to attend that very sermon. God used the Bible passage to show Marilyn her broken-ness and need for Christ. Marilyn trusted in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She describes the changes in her life. She is now happy and finds her satisfaction in Jesus, her ‘Well’. She also shares how she has changed in regards to putting other people first.

Meet Terran

Terran formed a friendship in his childhood with another kid, Nathan, who was a Christian. Terran knew early on that there was something different about Nathan which appealed to him. Terran’s father died during his teenage years and he talks about how Nathan gave him support while his non-Christian friends backed away. As their friendship deepened, Nathan asked Terran spiritual questions. Terran came to an understanding that a Christian is someone who personally receives Jesus. Terran trusted in Christ and now he is involved in ministry life with his friend Nathan.

Meet Gary

Gary shares he had no spiritual interest. He did well in his career but suffered from anxiety – especially about dying. When questioned about it, he had no certainty he would go to heaven. God drew Gary to himself through a Bible study. Gary accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and now has the certainty of going to heaven. Gary relies on God to help him through times when he feels anxious, and God has helped him re-organize his life priorities so he can be a better husband and father.

Jun and Bernie (Philippines)

Meet Jun and Bernie

Jun and Bernie are from the Philippines but went to Australia for employment. They believed they needed to do good things to be saved, and they prayed to Mary. Both Jun and Bernie started to feel restless – that they were not growing in their faith. They heard the gospel and Bernie trusted in Jesus Christ to be her Lord and Savior. She started reading the Bible and learning, but Jun made fun of her. Bernie prayed for her husband’s salvation. In time Jun did receive Christ also. Jun talks about the order that Jesus brings to his life, and how Christ has brought his family closer.
