Yuji (Japan)

Meet Yuji

Yuji believed in the truth that Jesus died for his sins the first time he visited a church and heard the gospel. He talks about experiencing a peace, not of this world, when he trusted in Christ. Yuji describes the remarkable way that God used Yuji’s experience of the Tohoku earthquake that hit Japan in 2011 to change Yuji’s purpose in life. Sitting in the warmth and shelter of his church in the initial aftermath of the earthquake, God showed Yuji how left out the Japanese people are from God’s love and protection, and how they don’t know that the key to heaven is Jesus. Yuji subsequently gave up his job and became a pastor to reach other people with the gospel for God.

Meet Cheyane

Cheyane is a fire-fighter who was involved in a horrifying accident while on duty. He was sure he was going to be burned to death. In the midst of the craziest moments of his life, he had a peace about what was happening to him because of his relationship with Jesus Christ. He knew he would go to heaven if he died. Cheyane had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior 10 years previously. Before then, he had always pushed God away and had lived life for himself with partying and girls.

Andrew grew up attending church but push spiritual things away by the time he was an adult. He achieved a lot of success in body-building and shares that he made fitness an idol in his life. Despite his successes, he felt an emptiness on the inside. Then his relationship with his fiancé fell apart. Andrew describes in the midst of the experience he felt the peace of God. Andrew ended up going to church and hearing the gospel. He realized Jesus had died for him and no sin was too big for God to forgive. Andrew talks about how his life is now centered on Jesus.
