Meet Heath

Heath tells his story of finding forgiveness through Jesus Christ towards his mother who viciously abused him as a kid.

Heath had a very traumatic and violent childhood at the hands of his alcoholic mother. He suffered severe physical, emotional and mental abuse. He thought his mother would kill him. She also hatefully revealed to him that the man he thought was his father (who he loved dearly) was not his father. Heath was traumatized by being taken away from him.

As a teenager, Heath heard the gospel and received Jesus as his Lord and Savior. In time, Jesus showed Heath that he needed to let go of his anger towards his mother and forgive her. Jesus healed Heath’s heart. He spent a decade visiting his mother and telling her the gospel. He got to witness her place her faith in Jesus also.

God also moved in Heath’s heart to find his biological father, so he could share the gospel with him. Heath found him and visited the man. He discovered that his biological father had become a Christian a long time ago and wanted a relationship with him but didn’t know how.

Heath says his story is not about hatred and abuse, but really about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Bill and Roxanna (USA)

Meet Bill and Roxanna

Roxanna shares how she has known God from a very young age. She has struggled in her thought life but is thankful for the Word of God and her strong and caring husband. Bill started out with very little purpose in life. He served in the Vietnam war and suffered mentally as a result. God used this time in Bill’s life to help him see his sin and need for a Savior. Bill describes the feeling of being unburdened through having God’s forgiveness. Bill has a diagnosis of cancer, but God is using that to bring Bill and Roxanna closer together, and to help their trust in Him grow.

Meet Lance

Lance shares that he had a very unstable upbringing with an alcoholic father and lots of moving around. He felt very angry. Lance also describes the troubles in his marriage and the grief at his son’s suicide. Lance witnessed good change in his partner’s life as a result of her new relationship with God. God drew Lance to himself and now Lance’s personal relationship with Jesus means more to him than anything else.

Meet Jenn

Jenn had a happy childhood which quickly turned to deep emotional pain when her parents split up during her teens. Jenn entered into a life of parties, prescription drugs and alcohol to cope with life. In order to support her siblings, she became a model for former Playboy photographers. She feared for her life when a trip away to do a photo shoot turned into illicit activities in which she was held against her will. Soon after her ordeal, she went to church. There she heard about Christ and received Him as her Lord and Savior. She describes how He rescued her. Today Jenn is a wife and mother and leads a ministry that helps others recover from lives out of control. Jenn says she is completely dependent on Christ every day of her life.

Meet Bailee

Bailee always wanted acceptance from other people. She talks about how she self-identified as gay and socialized with atheists and agnostics. Lindsey describes how she invited Jesus into her life at a young age. She shares that she got pregnant with her boyfriend and chose abortion because of fear. Lindsey describes the mental turmoil; guilt and secrecy that heavily impacted her life. God used Lindsey’s husband and a Bible study, to show her His love and the forgiveness that He provides. She also learned how self-forgiveness is a lie, as it’s God alone who has the authority to forgive. Lindsey is now set free from her past and able to enjoy her relationships with her husband, children, and most importantly, God.
