Meet Deb and Dave

Deb placed her faith in Jesus Christ as a child. When she met Dave as a young adult, Dave did not know God personally. Dave asked Deb if she would date him. She said no but redirected Dave to undertake a Bible study. Following the Bible study, Dave received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Dave and Deb got married and had children. They talk about how God helped them through a very difficult time when their son was seriously ill. Dave changed his job to become a pastor. He shares how grateful he is to God for all God has done in his life.

Korey describes some shaky early years at college and a young marriage that failed. Korey felt lost without purpose. Korey married again and had his own business. But God gave Korey a wake-up call about the sin in his life – that his sin was sending him to hell. Korey accepted Jesus as His Lord and Savior. He loves the peace of mind he now has. No matter what life brings, he knows Jesus is in control and will take care of him.

Meet Kendall

Kendall describes hearing the gospel aged 9 and receiving Christ as his Lord and Savior. In his early teens, Kendall lived for God. This changed when Kendall fell in with the wrong crowd, and lived a party lifestyle at high-school and college. However, God drew Kendall back to himself and gave Kendall a reality check about the purpose of his life. Kendall is thankful for the strong support he got from an older friend, and Kendall is now passionate about offering friendship and help to other men as they learn to follow Jesus.

Amanda shares how she grew up in a religious environment but didn’t personalize what Jesus had done for her until an adult. Amanda speaks of her sorrow losing a newborn to a fatal disease and the pain of a miscarriage. God helped Amanda process these hard times. She has peace knowing her babies are in heaven. Roger and Sharon (USA)

Meet Roger and Sharon

Roger shares that his father passed away while he was a boy. They both describe irregular church attendance as a young married couple. Roger knew the gospel but didn’t want to give his life to Christ. Sharon knew Jesus had died for her, but didn’t understand how to receive the gift of salvation. A pastor encouraged Roger and Sharon to place their faith in Christ. They responded and received Christ. Roger shares that his life priorities changed once Jesus became his Lord and Savior. He speaks of his happiness at knowing Jesus, and Sharon speaks of their happy marriage and the joy and comfort she has with the people God has placed in their lives.

Connie shares she wanted approval as a young person and fell in with the wrong crowd. Alcohol became a big part of Connie’s life. Connie thought going to church was about following rules. That all changed when Connie heard the gospel and she accepted Jesus’ work to make her perfect in God’s eyes. Despite finding it hard to hand control of her life over to Jesus, Connie now clings to Him and loves His acceptance of her. God has ended Connie’s reliance on alcohol.

Mark (USA)

Meet Mark

Mark’s life revolved around his job as school principal. Then he got sick with leukemia. God had placed a man in Mark’s life who was able to pray for him and help him accept Jesus into his life. Mark talks about the instant change in his thinking and desires once he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Mark feels a peace and a freedom because he no longer has to ‘run the show’. Mark asked Christ to help him with his cancer. Since his prayer, Mark started to see progressive improvement in his condition. He is now back at work, with a completely new set of priorities in life.

Nedelka (Nicaragua)

Meet Nedelka

Nedelka grew up in Nicaragua where she experienced sexual abuse by a trusted employee of her family. She describes how this experience colored her thinking about men, children, and her own body. Nedelka and her family moved to Canada, where Nedelka’s emotional pain led her to punish her body through anorexia. She tried to commit suicide several times, including by starvation. She describes sensing God speak to her while she was wasting away and urging her to return to Nicaragua. She went back to her home country, to her mom, who had become a Christian. She shares how she encountered Christ and how she learned all about the gospel.

As soon as Nedelka trusted in Christ, her relationship with food changed. God used the teachings from a women’s ministry – Revive our Hearts – to give Nedelka a Biblical understanding of womanhood, marriage, and children. God transformed Nedelka’s wrong thinking about children – and she and her husband now have adopted several children.
