Meet Josh

Josh grew up in a Christian home and thought he was a Christian. As a younger guy he felt unhappy with church life and started pushing it away. He lived in different parts of the US, and experienced financial problems. He shares that he had a problem with alcohol. After becoming a husband and parent, Josh started attending church regularly. He realized he didn’t understand the gospel fully, especially the gift of Jesus’ righteousness to him. Josh placed his faith in Christ. Jesus has taken away Josh’s alcohol problem.

Meet Karen

Meet Karen. Karen shares how she felt enormous anger and bitterness to her father for how he treated her mother as a child. She describes how God used people around her as a young woman (including her future husband) to bring her to the Bible, and show her how much He personally loves her. Karen describes the unburdened feeling she found inviting Jesus into her life as her Lord and Savior, and also the great relief she felt after she reconciled with her father. Karen describes the fulfillment she feels with the work that God has given her to write and encourage others in her church.

Meet Brooke

Brooke grew up in a home hearing about God and what Jesus had done for her on the cross. But she chose to reject God and push Him away because she was sexually abused as a child. She talks about her anger, hatred, and bitterness toward God. She chased after a worldly lifestyle instead. Then, at a Revive Our Hearts event, Brooke witnessed the way Joni Eareckson Tada coped with her physical suffering yet still loved God. God used this to break into Brooke’s heart and she turned to God and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Brooke talks about the weight lifted from her, and how God turned her life around.
