Tricia (USA)

Meet Tricia

Tricia shares how she grew up in a Christian home but pushed spiritual things away as a young adult. She talks about having a successful life with a good career and marriage. However, her world got turned upside down when her dad died, and her grandpa died shortly afterwards. Tricia’s life started to spiral out of control because of her anxious thoughts and it heavily impacted her marriage. God used this crisis situation to draw her back to church. She heard the gospel and trusted in Jesus for the removal of her sins. Tricia shares how freeing it was to accept Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Now she turns to Jesus when she feels worried and He gives her rest.

Gary (USA)

Meet Gary

Gary shares he had no spiritual interest. He did well in his career but suffered from anxiety – especially about dying. When questioned about it, he had no certainty he would go to heaven. God drew Gary to himself through a Bible study. Gary accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and now has the certainty of going to heaven. Gary relies on God to help him through times when he feels anxious, and God has helped him re-organize his life priorities so he can be a better husband and father.

Meet Bill and Roxanna

Roxanna shares how she has known God from a very young age. She has struggled in her thought life but is thankful for the Word of God and her strong and caring husband. Bill started out with very little purpose in life. He served in the Vietnam war and suffered mentally as a result. God used this time in Bill’s life to help him see his sin and need for a Savior. Bill describes the feeling of being unburdened through having God’s forgiveness. Bill has a diagnosis of cancer, but God is using that to bring Bill and Roxanna closer together, and to help their trust in Him grow.

Takashi and Naoko (Japan)

Meet Takashi and Naoko

Takashi grew up in a Christian home but he didn’t know what it meant to have a personal relationship with Jesus. As a married adult, he found it very hard to cope with the responsibilities of life – his job, child, and wife. Takashi shares that his anxiety was so bad he had suicidal thoughts. Naoko had very low self-esteem and emotional pain. She shares that she wasn’t good at communicating and was verbally abusive to her husband. Both Takashi and Naoko accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. They talk about the help and healing Jesus has brought into their hearts and married life.

Mark (Australia)

Meet Mark

In Mark’s interview he talks about how he became a Christian and how his relationship with God has helped him in different areas of his life, including parenting and anxiety. Mark shares that he did not have a good relationship with his dad growing up. His dad suffered from bipolar disorder which made life very unstable for Mark. Mark didn’t learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus until he was an adult during a time when his stepson was gravely ill. He describes being with his stepson in hospital and praying to God with a Bible in his hand. A stranger walked past Mark and showed him the verses in his Bible he needed to know to receive Christ. Mark has embraced God’s fatherly love for Him, which has healed the void left by his relationship with his earthly father.

Gemma is from Ireland but emigrated to the USA. She was sexually abused as a child and this deeply troubled her as an adult. She dismissed the Bible and Jesus and didn’t believe in God. She started searching for God in her thirties. God brought her to a place where she could understand she was a sinner in need of a Savior. Having placed her faith in Christ she no longer feels shame over her abuse and has been able to forgive her abuser.
