Lee Yih (USA)

Meet Lee Yih

Lee Yih shares that he was born as a result of date rape. He struggled with identity and belonging, growing up in Iowa and also in Taiwan. He always wanted to fit in. He heard about Jesus as a teenager, but later went on to ridicule Jewish college friends who became Christians.

While in the military, stationed in Germany, Lee Yih talks about feeling lost without any sense of direction and meaning. A Christian couple welcomed Lee Yih and his wife. He learned it was possible to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Lee Yih describes feeling overwhelmed by God’s love, humbling himself and calling out to God to receive Christ. He describes how Jesus turned his life around and has provided the ultimate sense of joy and fulfillment.

Meet Barry

Barry shares how he got involved with the wrong crowd and drugs in his teens. Barry went through the motions of baptism without understanding it and without really having an interest in God. Barry continued to be indifferent about spiritual things until he saw the changes in his wife’s life when she began a relationship with God. Barry then responded to the gospel and trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He got baptized again, this time understanding the purpose of it.

Meet Terran

Terran formed a friendship in his childhood with another kid, Nathan, who was a Christian. Terran knew early on that there was something different about Nathan which appealed to him. Terran’s father died during his teenage years and he talks about how Nathan gave him support while his non-Christian friends backed away. As their friendship deepened, Nathan asked Terran spiritual questions. Terran came to an understanding that a Christian is someone who personally receives Jesus. Terran trusted in Christ and now he is involved in ministry life with his friend Nathan.

Lance also describes the troubles in his marriage and the grief at his son’s suicide. Lance witnessed good change in his partner’s life as a result of her new relationship with God. Meet Mark

Mark’s life revolved around his job as school principal. Then he got sick with leukemia. God had placed a man in Mark’s life who was able to pray for him and help him accept Jesus into his life. Mark talks about the instant change in his thinking and desires once he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Mark feels a peace and a freedom because he no longer has to ‘run the show’. Mark asked Christ to help him with his cancer. Since his prayer, Mark started to see progressive improvement in his condition. He is now back at work, with a completely new set of priorities in life.

Meet Jenn

Jenn had a happy childhood which quickly turned to deep emotional pain when her parents split up during her teens. Jenn entered into a life of parties, prescription drugs and alcohol to cope with life. In order to support her siblings, she became a model for former Playboy photographers. She feared for her life when a trip away to do a photo shoot turned into illicit activities in which she was held against her will. Soon after her ordeal, she went to church. There she heard about Christ and received Him as her Lord and Savior. She describes how He rescued her. Today Jenn is a wife and mother and leads a ministry that helps others recover from lives out of control. Jenn says she is completely dependent on Christ every day of her life.
