Jeff (USA)

Meet Jeff

Jeff grew up in Japan and had an outstanding career in martial arts. Yet he did not feel satisfied. He became a very hard drug user and sacrificed home life with his wife and newborn. On one occasion Jeff found he had overdosed on ecstasy. He called out to God and his overdose symptoms subsided. He continued living a reckless existence until he found himself homeless and penniless. At rock bottom, without any distractions, he opened up the Bible and began reading. He understood the gospel for the first time and asked Jesus to be his Lord as well as his Savior. Jesus has turned Jeff’s life around.

Devlin (South Africa)

Meet Devlin

Devlin says his story is all about looking for fulfillment. As a teenager, he tried different things to feel full such as achieving at school and partying. None of these satisfied. Devlin also struggled growing up because of his parent’s divorce. He felt anger towards God and had difficulties with his relationships. Then at a youth camp, Devlin trusted in Christ. He shares how he found the fulfillment he had been searching for, and God used his new found faith to help start a revival in Devlin’s school. Devlin also shares that he got caught up in habitual sin, yet despite his wandering away, God drew him back and he received Christ’s grace and forgiveness. He talks about the delight in obeying Christ’s way.

Meet Marilyn

Marilyn says she lived an unhappy life and was thirsty for spiritual truth. She tried all sorts of religions and couldn’t find peace. One day, an ad for a forthcoming sermon at a Bible preaching church irritated her, yet she found herself drawn to attend that very sermon. God used the Bible passage to show Marilyn her broken-ness and need for Christ. Marilyn trusted in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She describes the changes in her life. She is now happy and finds her satisfaction in Jesus, her ‘Well’. She also shares how she has changed in regards to putting other people first.

Meet Lane

Lane shares that he didn’t grow up knowing about Christianity. During college years he heard the Gospel and accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Lane did not immediately live for God, he chose worldly success and money. He shares how unfulfilling those years were, but how God brought him and his wife close to Him. Meet Lonnie

Lonnie shares how he wanted a successful life and fulfillment. He sought those things through “dream jobs”, financial plans, and marriage. He still felt incomplete, so he started going to church. He got heavily involved in serving in the church but he describes how he had not understood the gospel, and thought his good deeds would make him right with God. God showed Lonnie the truth of the gospel that only through faith in Jesus Christ can we be made right with Him. Lonnie let go of his efforts and accepted Jesus’ work on the cross on his behalf.

Meet Chris

Chris is a well-known sports star. He talks about how his world fell apart when his father died when he was a teenager. Despite having worldly success, he got into a life of drinking which started impacting his sports performance. He knew he was in a mess, and he describes his selfishness. At that time, he became aware of a Christian guy and was very curious about why he was different. Over coffee, his Christian friend opened the Bible and talked him through the gospel. Chris knew in his heart he wanted the life Christ had to offer and he accepted Him as his Lord and Savior. Knowing God has given Chris a real reason for living, and he is confident that his father would be most proud of his decision to become a Christ-follower over any kind of worldly success he’s achieved.

Vicki and Bill (USA)

Meet Vicki and Bill

This is two stories in one video – married couple Vicki and Bill. Vicki talks about her luxurious lifestyle and successful career in New York, and how she could not escape from a gnawing sense of emptiness. She followed a party lifestyle for a while involving cocaine. She also got married thinking that would fill the void. Then she was invited to an event where she heard the gospel. She received Christ that night. Vicki was having severe marriage difficulties and had separated from her husband Bill.

Bill was a very successful businessman, who lived a very reckless life involving cocaine, alcohol abuse and affairs with other women. He had separated from Vicki and was living with another woman. Unbeknown to Bill, Vicki and their children were praying for Bill to come to know Jesus. Vicki arranged an evening where Bill was invited. He heard someone share their testimony and Bill decided to place his faith in Christ.

Vicki and Bill talk about how God has helped them recover their marriage. Vicki now helps other women work through their marriage difficulties.
