Meet Ellie

Singer and actress Ellie Ellsworth tells her story of being trapped in a life of promiscuity until she professed her belief in Jesus. Jesus set her free from her addiction to sex.

Ellie didn’t hear the gospel growing up. She talks about how she got into her first sexual relationship before marriage. She got married and ended up having an affair. Ellie continued down a path of promiscuity and adultery following her second marriage. She tried many means of help to overcome this addiction to sex.

Someone she dated invited her to a gospel-preaching church. She attended there for a couple of years. A lady challenged Ellie on what she believed – Ellie said she believed Jesus died for her sins.

Ellie emotionally describes the radical change Jesus brought about in her life just months after professing her belief in Him. She was set free from her need for men. Ellie reads some of John chp 4 about the Samaritan woman and explains how Jesus has used that story to reach her heart.

Crystal shares how angry she felt towards God when her boyfriend was killed. Crystal became dependent on alcohol and was very troubled on the inside. That all changed for Crystal when she heard about Jesus, and accepted him as her Lord and Savior. Crystal enjoys the forgiveness only God gives, and the steady guidance from God. She now understands that her anger and emotional problems stemmed from her sinful choices.

Joe came from a strong Catholic background. He had a fear of God, went to confession many times, but felt so hopeless because of failing God’s standards for living. Joe resigned himself to thinking he would go to hell when he died. Joe talks about getting in with the wrong crowd, all the while still thinking about God. In time, God used Joe’s wife to expose him to the truth of the gospel and Christ’s atoning death and finished work for his sins. Joe was rejected by his father for leaving the Catholic tradition to follow Christ. Having once been unsure about the phrase ‘born again’ – Joe now is happy to share that he is a born again Christian and Jesus Christ is number one in his life.
