Meet Ellie

Singer and actress Ellie Ellsworth tells her story of being trapped in a life of promiscuity until she professed her belief in Jesus. Jesus set her free from her addiction to sex.

Ellie didn’t hear the gospel growing up. She talks about how she got into her first sexual relationship before marriage. She got married and ended up having an affair. Ellie continued down a path of promiscuity and adultery following her second marriage. She tried many means of help to overcome this addiction to sex.

Someone she dated invited her to a gospel-preaching church. She attended there for a couple of years. A lady challenged Ellie on what she believed – Ellie said she believed Jesus died for her sins.

Ellie emotionally describes the radical change Jesus brought about in her life just months after professing her belief in Him. She was set free from her need for men. Ellie reads some of John chp 4 about the Samaritan woman and explains how Jesus has used that story to reach her heart.

Nathan (USA)

Meet Nathan

Nathan shares how an older kid sexually abused him while he was very young. He talks about the guilt and shame he felt. Nathan describes that the abuse awakened a curiosity in him – which moved from pornography – to paying for sex – by the time he was a young adult. He knew he had gone too far, and he felt utterly hopeless. Just as he was about to throw himself onto train tracks, God brought to mind a verse from the Bible he had learned as a kid – “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:32). This was the turning point in Nathan’s life. He believed in the gospel and God started rebuilding Nathan’s life. Today Nathan is married with children and works as a family counseling pastor.

She shares how she entered into sexual relations as a young woman which brought her a life of unhappiness and mess. Liz knew she was not living a life that matched up with Jesus’ way. She shares how God helped her overcome her choices, and redirect her. Liz also describes how God helped her overcome her dominating thought life. God has blessed Liz with a loving and caring husband and she is grateful to God for His help and mercy.
