Meet Jamie

Jamie describes a stable upbringing, but life for her changed after she got involved in an unhealthy adult relationship. She turned away from her parents and lived in very challenging circumstances with her boyfriend and his family. Jamie shares the hardships and verbal abuse she suffered, including the pressure to have an abortion by her partner. Jamie’s parents helped her and shortly afterwards, Jamie received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She is thankful for God’s forgiveness and cares that other women who had abortions know that God offers them forgiveness too.

Laura describes her long battle with self-worth, which began in her childhood and resulted from over-hearing negative comments from her parents. She also shares she had an abortion as a teenager, and how that day traumatized her and she felt guilt and shame. Laura was divorced twice and struggled with the pressures of parenting her daughters. Laura describes leaving everything and riding away on her motorcycle. She stayed with a friend who invited her to church. There she heard the gospel and believed she could be forgiven and washed clean. She accepted Christ that day. Laura talks about how Christ has healed her pain and mended her relationships with her daughters. She is now married to her friend and she has had the opportunity to help young women who have experienced the same things as she did.

When Bob met his wife, they also ended up having an abortion. They describe the absolutely devastating effects of abortion on their lives. God took these broken individuals and showed them His forgiveness and love for them. They repented of their sins, and both accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. They struggled to have children for several years into their marriage, but God has blessed them with two sons.

She also learned how self-forgiveness is a lie, as it’s God alone who has the authority to forgive. Lindsey is now set free from her past and able to enjoy her relationships with her husband, children, and most importantly, God.
